How membership works

Two ways to pay
for every flight.

Everyone else has one way to pay for Business Class: the fare. Members have two.

When a reward seat exists for your route and dates, you fly on points and pay the taxes. When it doesn’t, you pay cash like you always have, and our travel agency finds you the sharpest fare going.

We don’t change every flight. We give you the option on every flight. Across a year of travel, that option is the difference between paying full fare every time and paying it only when you have to.

Points when they’re there. Cash when they’re not. Business Class either way.

No reward seat on your dates? That’s built in. Our travel agency finds you the sharpest cash fare, the trip goes ahead, and your points are ready for the next one.

Max Miles & HeyMax First · Australia-exclusive

Book the flight first.
Earn the points back.

A Business Class reward seat takes most people 12 to 18 months of spend to earn. HeyMax First fronts the points now, so you fly this year instead. In Australia, only Flights Club members can get it.

Same seat. Your business earns points like these on spend it’s already making. The Points Audit tells you how many seats a year that is, before you pay us a cent.

Haven’t earned them yet? HeyMax First advances the points. Fly this year, earn them back.

Published award-chart price for one return seat, August 2026; cash fare typical for the route; taxes and carrier charges extra; reward-seat availability applies.

What it costs you. Your Max Miles subscription builds points across the year. When a trip needs them sooner, HeyMax First advances them, against a refundable deposit that comes back as you earn them back. The HeyMax membership fee, normally S$299 a year at this level, is waived for Flights Club members. Exact rates are confirmed when you join.

Where the points come from

Australian points have been shrinking since 2019 — some programs now take three or four of your points to make one airline mile. Max Miles sits outside the credit card system entirely, so there is no interchange underneath it for the banks to cut. It transfers 1:1, with no transfer fees.

1:1Transfers into 17+ airline programs, no transfer fees
No cardNo credit card application, no minimum spend, no churn
NeverMax Miles do not expire while you decide where to fly
Fly firstHeyMax First draws the miles a trip needs before you have them

Max Miles — how you hold miles

Your subscription builds Max Miles at a known rate, and they transfer 1:1. No credit card involved, and they never expire.

How it works
  1. Subscribe. Add a Max Miles subscription to your membership. No card application, no minimum spend, no churn.
  2. Miles land. They arrive in your own HeyMax account. They are yours, and they do not expire.
  3. Transfer 1:1. We identify the program that prices your route best, then transfer in one for one — so you know the cost of the seat before you commit to the trip.

Transfer partners span all three alliances — oneworld (Cathay Asia Miles, Qatar Privilege Club, JAL), Star Alliance (EVA, Air India, Ethiopian) and SkyTeam (Flying Blue, Vietnam Airlines, SAS) — and from there you book across 70+ airlines. Max Miles does not transfer into Qantas directly, though Asia Miles or Qatar Avios can still put you in a Qantas seat.

HeyMax First — how you fly early

Draw the miles a trip needs before you have them, and book the seat now at today’s chart price.

Miles you draw are an obligation. It suits a business with predictable ongoing spend, not a one-off.

How it works

You draw from your pool and book the seat, then repay the draw with Max Miles from your subscription. The deposit is fully reclaimable, not a price — it returns as the draw is repaid, and because subscription Max Miles cost less per mile than the deposit rate, repaying costs less than you put down.

As an Explore member you enter at the HeyMax First Gold pool: 100,000 miles, against a refundable deposit that returns as the draw is repaid. The HeyMax member fee — normally S$299 a year at this tier — is waived.

What you are buying

The Points Travel OS is your business travel points plan.

It shows which expenses can earn useful points, which cards and programs suit your business, when to move points, and how to use them for Business Class seats instead of wasting them on low-value redemptions.

Spend mapSee where the business already spends money and where points may be missed or earned in the wrong place.
Earn planChoose the right card, payment and program approach for your suppliers, expenses and travel goals.
Transfer planKnow when and where points should move so they are not trapped in the wrong program.
Redemption planAim your points at real Business Class seats, with 10% off concierge support when a trip needs expert help.
How it works

Explore turns points from a guessing game into a step-by-step plan.

You do not need to become a points expert. Explore gives you the structure, tools and support to make smarter decisions with business expenses you already have — so points can become Business Class seats, not forgotten balances or low-value gift cards.

1

Map the money already moving

We look at your business spend, suppliers, cards and travel goals so you can see where useful points can be created.

2

Build the right points stack

You get a practical plan for which points to earn, which programs to use, and which partner benefits can support your travel.

3

Use points for better trips

You use the plan, monthly group points Q&A calls with Steve Hui and 10% concierge discount to pursue Business Class seats with more confidence.

Different from payment platforms

Payment platforms help you earn. Explore shows you what to earn — and how to use it.

Payment platform

Routes business expenses through a card so suppliers can still be paid. Useful for earning points, but it does not decide which points matter, when to transfer, or how to book high-value seats.

The Flights Club Explore

Independent strategy layer on top of your payment setup. We assess your business, recommend the right earn approach, show the redemption path, and help turn points into premium travel value.

Common objections

Questions business owners ask before joining Explore.

Do Explore members get concierge flight bookings?

Explore is the strategy and system tier. It does not include included concierge seats like Platinum or Black, but Explore members receive 10% off concierge bookings when they want iFLYflat to handle a specific redemption.

Is this only useful if I already have lots of points?

No. Explore is built for Australian businesses in the $250K–$1.5M range that already have business expenses and want a clear points strategy. It helps you understand what points to earn, where to earn them, when to move them, and how to aim them at Business Class travel.

Do I have to use Pay.com.au?

No. The Flights Club is independent. Pay.com.au may be one useful tool for certain businesses, but the recommendation should follow your numbers, suppliers, card setup and travel goals. If Pay.com.au is right for you, the included 12-month Premium tier fee waiver is worth $1,980. Three included benefits — worth $2,724 — cover the membership before your first points flight.

What if Business Class seats are hard to find?

That is exactly why structure matters. The system helps you collect flexible points, understand transfer paths, and plan timing. Explore members receive 10% off Points Flight Concierge bookings when they want iFLYflat to handle a specific redemption.

Velocity Gold status, subject to qualification.

An accelerated route to Velocity Gold that Virgin Australia has made available to Flights Club members only — it is not offered publicly. New Business Flyer accounts can qualify until 30 September 2026, alongside your membership. Eligibility criteria apply, and status is granted by Virgin Australia on qualification.

Velocity Gold for 12 months

Accelerated progression to Business Flyer Tier 2, providing lounge access, priority boarding, priority screening and priority baggage handling, together with 20,000 bonus Velocity Points for the business.

Eligibility requirements

  1. A new Business Flyer account. Registration must be completed through our referral link. Existing Virgin Australia Business Flyer accounts are not eligible.

Lite fares, Reward Seat bookings, codeshare services and flights VA1–29 operated by Qatar Airways are excluded.

Further Virgin Australia conditions

On qualification the business progresses to Business Flyer Tier 2, with the standard $10,000 spend threshold waived. Please allow up to six weeks following the promotional period for the upgrade to be applied. The incentive may be earned once.
